Award: Gold Medals for Elyssia Gran Cuvee

Freixenet Elyssia Gran Cuvee has taken out three gold medals at three different prestigious international wine shows during April 2018. Gold medals were awarded to Elyssia at 2018 Mundus Vini and 2018 Berliner Wine Trophy in Germany.

Review: Freixenet Prosecco by Stephanie Bennet

Prosecco was once seen as a less than stellar substitution for champagne, but the bubbly drop has rocketed into the hearts of Aussies. There are numerous varieties on the market, and you don’t need to spend a fortune to find a delicious one to try at home. Made in Italy, the Freixenet prosecco ($25, pictured, from Dan Murphy’s) is a crisp and clean drop, with a light finish, hints of citrus and the right amount of bubbles. Housed in a striking bottle, it’s a top choice to take to a friend’s for a Sunday barbecue.
