Cordon Rosado Brut

Get in the pink with Freixenet’s elegant Brut Rosado (that’s Spanish for Rosé).

Bursting with summer fruits, this bright strawberry coloured sparkling is refreshing, especially when the sun is out or romance is in the air.

Brut Rosé is a blend of the Trepat (70%) and Garnacha (30%) grape varieties. The Trepat grapes provide a good balance between body and acidity, which is light and elegant. The Garnacha grapes provide a fruity aroma, which in the mouth is silky and fresh, these also give this sparkling its rosé colour.

The floral aromas are still prevalent, even after its long ageing. Fresh and light on the palate and reminiscent of rosé wines characteristic of the Penedes region in Spain.

Freixenet produces only methode champenoise sparkling wines. The wine goes through two fermentations with the second fermentation taking place in the bottle. Brut Rosé is then aged for up to 24 months in the 54kms of caves located at the Freixenet winery in Sant Sadurni d’Anoia just south of Barcelona.

This delicious sparkling is best enjoyed with seafood, asian food, fruit and cheese platters and is perfect for the long, hot summer.
